Hervé Gastinel has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Beneteau
Group's Boats Division
At a meeting on Monday 20 July, chaired by Yves Lyon-Caen, the Board of
Directors of the Beneteau Group reviewed the process for the succession of
Dieter Gust, whose office expires on 31 August 2015, in accordance with the
Company's Articles of Association, which has set the age limit for members of
the Executive Board at 60.
Following the selection of applicants by Cabinet Progress, the Board selected
the application of Hervé Gastinel, who will take up his position on 26 August
2015. Hervé will occupy the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Boats
Division, and will join the Group's Executive Committee on that basis. Hervé
has acquired extensive experience in the industrial sector and has recognised
management skills; he will strengthen the Group's momentum and contribute to the
development of its Boats Division.
The Supervisory and Executive Boards would like to thank Dieter Gust for his
contribution to the Group's achievements and success over the past 20 years.
Dieter Gust will retain his position as Chairman of CNB (Construction Navale
Bordeaux), and will be put forward as a Director of the Beneteau Group at the
forthcoming Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 29 January 2016.
Career path - Hervé Gastinel, 49
Hervé is a Graduate of ESSEC (1987), Sciences Po Paris (1989), and ENA
(1993).
He holds an advanced graduate studies diploma in financial markets, commodities
markets, and corporate management from Paris IX Dauphine University (1988).
2000-2015: Chief Executive Officer and then Chairman of Terreal;
1998-2000: Director of Planning and Strategy at the Saint-Gobain Group;
1997-1998: Technical advisor in charge of economic and financial affairs, and
new technologies at the Chairman of the French Senate's Office;
1993-1997: Tax Inspector at the French General Finance Inspectorate
