Biophytis Withdraws Registration Statement for Global Offering

Paris (France), Cambridge (Massachusetts, United States), July 25, 2019, 7:30
am CET - Biophytis (Euronext Growth Paris: ALBPS) ("Biophytis" or the
"Company"), a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development
of therapeutics for age-related diseases, today announced that the Company has
submitted a request to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC")
to withdraw its registration statement on Form F-1 (File No. 333-231655) (the
"Registration Statement") on file with the SEC and that it will postpone its
proposed Nasdaq listing due to unfavorable market conditions. The Registration
Statement has not been declared effective by the SEC and no securities have
been sold in connection with the global offering described in the Registration
Statement. The Company intends to consider other financing options.

The Phase 2b clinical trial (SARA-INT) of Sarconeos (BIO101) for the treatment
of sarcopenia continues its development and recruitment as planned. For
Sarconeos (BIO101) in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Biophytis plans to
submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to the FDA and clinical
trial applications to the applicable regulatory agencies in Europe in the
second half of 2019. The develop-ment of the Company's preclinical research
platform on retinopathies and other new and on going research and development
activities are continuing.
