Colas Australia Group acquires Topcoat Asphalt Contractors
Colas has acquired Topcoat Asphalt Contractors Pty. Ltd., a company based in
Adelaide, Australia.
Specialized in bitumen products manufacturing and road construction, Topcoat
operates in South Australia and the Northern Territory, with a 2017 revenue of
AUD $25M and a workforce of 45 employees.
This acquisition enables Colas to deliver its products and services nationwide
and increases its footprint in the road products and construction segment in
Australia.
In 2017, revenue at the Colas Australia Group amounted to AUD $400M, in bitumen
products manufacturing and distribution as well as road construction, with a
workforce of 400 employees.

Colas, a subsidiary of the Bouygues Group, is a world leader aiming to promote
transport infrastructure solutions for sustainable mobility. With 55,000
employees in more than 50 countries on five continents, the Group performs some
80,000 road construction and maintenance projects each year via 800

In 2017, consolidated revenue at Colas totaled 11.7 billion euros (48% outside
of France). Net profit attributable to the Group amounted to 328 million euros.
