RESULTS OF THE COMBINED ORDINARY AND EXTRAORDINARY SHAREHOLDERS' MEETING OF
MARCH 5, 2020 AND TRADING UPDATE
Paris, 5 March 2020 - The Compagnie des Alpes Combined Ordinary and
Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting was held on Thursday 5 March 2020 at 2:30
p.m. at the Théâtre Mogador, 25 rue de Mogador - 75009 Paris.
226 shareholders were present. With those represented or voting by
correspondence, the Meeting met quorum requirements on first call, with 70.94%.
All of the resolutions on the agenda were approved by wide margins, with the
exception of the nineteenth resolution (delegation in matters of capital
increases reserved for employees), which was rejected on the proposal of the
Board of Directors. The results of the votes can be viewed on the company's
website, on the Shareholders' Meeting page.
The dividend proposed by the Board of Directors (EUR0.70 per share, an increase
of 7.7% compared with the previous fiscal year) was approved. The ex-dividend
date will be 10 March, and payment will be made on 12 March 2020.
Discussions during the meeting also included the following points:
* The 2019/2020 ski season is progressing satisfactorily; at the end of the
winter school holidays, cumulative activity will be up year on year.
* For leisure parks, first-quarter activity was particularly brisk. Noteworthy
achievements include the new record set during the Halloween season, the
success of the opening of Parc Asterix to the general public during the
Christmas period and, naturally, the consolidation of Familypark following
its acquisition in March 2019. The second quarter only accounts for around
6% of full-year revenue in this business, as the majority of parks are
closed. Growth has been in double digits so far this year. The rest of the
season will be marked from the opening of the third hotel at Parc Astérix
and the inauguration of major attractions at Futuroscope and Bellewaerde.
* The Group also signalled plans to continue to step up its efforts on its
digital transformation and the priorities of its CSR strategy.
Dominique Marcel also noted that to date the coronavirus has not dampened
activity on those Compagnie des Alpes sites that are currently open (ski areas,
Grévin museums and Futuroscope). He stressed that the Group is monitoring
information and developments closely, and that it is fully mobilised to follow
recommendations issued by the authorities, and to take all necessary measures
and adapt them in line with fresh developments.]
Upcoming events and releases:
* 2nd quarter 2019/2020 sales: Thursday, April 23, after market
* First half 2019/2020 results: Tuesday, May 26, after market
* 3rd quarter 2019/2020 sales: Thursday, July 23, after market
