Encavis' Alternative Investment Fund EIF II reaches over 960 million euros investment volume in Renewable Energies

Neubiberg/Munich, March 28, 2022 - Encavis Asset Management AG (Encavis AM), subsidiary of SDAX-listed wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (ISIN: DE0006095003, Prime Standard) realises its second acquisition this year with the purchase of a wind farm in the French region of Pays-de-la-Loire in the Sarthe department.

The park is being built northwest of the city Tours in a hilly terrain and once completed, will annually supply 8,600 households with green electricity and save 700 tonnes of CO2. Its total generation capacity is 11 megawatts. Four Vestas wind turbines with a height of 85 metres will be complemented by an 80-metre-high Vestas turbine. The wind farm is being planned and built by AboWind, a project developer headquartered in Wiesbaden (Germany).

The wind farm will be integrated in the special fund Encavis Infrastructure Fund II (EIF II), exclusively distributed by Bayern LB and administered by HANSAINVEST LUX S.A. It is structured to fit credit institutions, above all savings banks and cooperative banks, which attach great importance to stable cash flows and implementation of the special regulations for credit institutions. This transaction included, more than 80% of the placed equity capital has been invested.

"The "Chenu" wind farm optimally complements the fund portfolio and provides further regional diversification. The technology mix is very balanced with 54% wind and 46% solar investments. Especially in the current market situation, long-term investments in renewable energies remain an extremely wise decision. Hence, our investment momentum remains very high," says Karsten Mieth, Speaker of the Board of Encavis Asset Management AG.
