Successful launch of the bond issue
The Lagardère group successfully launched today a EUR500m 6-year bond issue
(due October 2027), with an annual coupon of 1.75%. The success of this bond
issue launch illustrates investors' confidence in the soundness of the
company's financial profile.
The proceeds of this bond issue are intended to be used for refinancing part of
the EUR500m bonds outstanding due 2023, and for general corporate purposes,
including partial or full repayment of the State-guaranteed loan (see PR of 4
January 2021). This bond issue will enable Lagardère SA to extend its debt
maturity profile.
BNP Paribas and Société Générale CIB are acting as global coordinators on
this transaction, also led by Barclays, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Crédit
Agricole CIB, ING, JP Morgan, Natixis, Oddo BHF, Santander CIB and Unicredit.
Created in 1992, Lagardère is an international group with operations in more
than 40 countries worldwide. It employs some 28,000 people and generated
revenue of EUR4,439 million in 2020.
The Group focuses on two priority divisions: Lagardère Publishing (Book and
e-Publishing, Mobile and Board games) and Lagardère Travel Retail (Travel
Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion, Foodservice).
The Group?s operating assets also include Lagardère News and Lagardère Live
Entertainment.
