MTU Aero Engines and LISI AEROSPACE SIGN A MAJOR LONG TERM AGREEMENT FOR THE
SUPPLY OF HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSOR BLADES
PARIS, France, 18/12/2019 - MTU Aero Engines and LISI AEROSPACE have signed a
long-term agreement for the manufacture and supply of high-pressure compressor
blades. These blades are installed on the Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, which
fly on Airbus Single Aisle programs, as well as on the Embraer E2 regional jet.
These ten years, one million pieces contract is the result of two years of
close cooperation between MTU Aero Engines and LISI AEROSPACE. It reinforces
LISI AEROSPACE in its strategic decision to become a World Class Leader on the
compressor blades market.
These blades will be fully produced in France
* in a brand new manufacturing plant, located in Chaumont (Haute-Marne) and
fully operational in 2023,
* as well as in a recently built extension of its plant in Parthenay (Deux
Sèvres).
LISI AEROSPACE, which intends to make these two sites models of advanced 4.0
digital technologies and Corporate Social Responsibility, thus demonstrates the
long-term industrial vision of LISI Group.
