Mobimo strengthens portfolio and pipeline with acquisitions in the canton of Zurich and French-speaking Switzerland Lucerne, 22 December 2021 - Mobimo has acquired a site with development potential in the Zurich conurbation and three commercial properties in medium-sized cities in French-speaking Switzerland. Mobimo has acquired mid-December 2021 ERNI Real Estate AG and its subsidiary ERNI Liegenschaften AG and become the owner of the 16,000 m2 ERNI site in Wangen-Brüttisellen, canton of Zurich. With an excellent location, the site comprises two existing buildings featuring office, restaurant and commercial space and an area of around 12,000 m2 with development potential. Mobimo will transfer the existing buildings to its own investment portfolio and tap the development potential. The plan is to create a mixed-use district with residential and commercial uses and high sustainability standards. CEO Daniel Ducrey: "District development is one of Mobimo's core areas of expertise. With the ERNI site, our developers now have an exciting task ahead of them. The company ERNI has roots in the community of Wangen-Brüttisellen stretching back decades. We will therefore tailor our project very carefully to local needs." Another acquisition will strengthen the regional diversification of Mobimo's investment portfolio. The company has acquired mid-December three properties in the heart of the cities of Biel, Neuchâtel and Fribourg in French-speaking Switzerland. The vendor is a company from the financial sector that will continue to use the space as a tenant.
