SAINT-GOBAIN COMPLETES THE SALE OF ITS SILICON CARBIDE BUSINESS
Saint-Gobain announces the completion of the sale of its silicon carbide grains
and powders business, which delivers annual sales of around EUR120 million, to
the private equity firm OpenGate Capital.
This transaction is in line with Saint-Gobain's portfolio optimization strategy
aimed at divesting businesses representing sales of more than EUR3.0 billion by
end-2019.
