Free calls for refugees from Ukraine All registered refugees from Ukraine can get a free SIM card valid for 12 months. The SIM card allows unlimited calls, text messaging, and mobile data in Switzerland, as well as unlimited calls from Switzerland to Ukraine. Sunrise UPC waives call costs As of February 25, Sunrise UPC has waived the costs for mobile subscription and landline calls from Switzerland to Ukraine and from Ukraine to Switzerland for private customers. Sunrise UPC will also waive the costs for roaming calls from Ukraine to Switzerland. Data roaming in Ukraine and text messaging will not be billed. The costs for data roaming and text messaging with Ukrainian SIM cards in the Sunrise UPC network will also be waived until May 31, 2022.
Caritas Switzerland The solidarity, especially among Sunrise UPC employees, is huge. That is why, on March 2, 2022, the company joined forces with Caritas Switzerland and launched a dedicated fundraising campaign caritas.ch/sunriseupc under the motto «Sunrise UPC for Ukraine». The funds will be used to provide the people in Ukraine with the essentials and to support emergency aid for the entry, accommodation and care of refugees in neighboring countries, such as Poland and Moldova.
