MySports: Strong media partners selected to broadcast the National League season in all parts of the country starting from the 2022/2023 season

11.05.2022 / 07:16

MySports will be responsible for broadcasting the National League over the next five years and will make it available to fans all over the country with the support of strong new free tv partners. Following the announcement of partners CH Media (German-speaking Switzerland) and Blick Gruppe (German-speaking Switzerland & Romandy), the full distribution plans for Romandy and Ticino are now also known. The two new partners, Léman Bleu in French-speaking Switzerland and Teleticino in Ticino are both firmly established in their respective regions and are passionate about ice hockey. Together with its partners, MySports will adopt a forward-thinking, entertaining and passionate approach to bringing its fans a first-class ice hockey experience, and take coverage of the National League to the next level. The partnerships will allow fans to watch more games for free, as well as benefit from more digital offers and more content across more channels. In future, live games from the regular season and the playoffs can be watched via free TV on TV24, Léman Bleu and Teleticino.

Starting next season, the media companies Léman Bleu and Teleticino will broadcast the National League in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. Both companies are defined by a wide viewership in their respective regions, as well as a strong online presence and a passion for ice hockey. In addition to CH Media and the Blick-Gruppe, that means MySports has brought on board two additional motivated and agile partners who are looking forward to the upcoming collaboration with the league and the clubs. Matthias Krieb, Head of MySports: "We are focused on the sustainable expansion of the National League and now, with Léman Bleu and Teleticino, we have two additional partners at our side who will drive this expansion forward in their respective regions. For ice hockey fans in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, this means additional ice hockey games on free TV as well as more highlights, news and information on regional clubs and players – on TV, online, and via the app. We are really excited to embark on this new season with partners across the country who want to raise the profile of ice hockey and create innovative, professional and entertaining coverage of the National League with us."

Innovative distribution model

When the new ice hockey season starts in mid-September 2022, Swiss ice hockey fans will be able to rely on the professional coverage and commentary of MySports and its experts. Thanks to new partnerships and digital innovations, fans will also have faster and more comprehensive access to match highlights, match information and background reports across a wider range of channels. The new model envisages new, exciting formats and background reports from MySports, more live games on free TV and online, access to live game highlights from anywhere, and an exclusive match on Sundays at prime time. Denis Vaucher, CEO of the National League: "We’re really impressed with the innovative MySports model and are already looking forward to embarking on a new National League era this September with an impressive association of hockey-loving distribution partners as well as innovative formats and distribution channels."

Playoffs via free TV on TV24, Léman Bleu and Teleticino

As usual, ice hockey fans will be able to watch all National League games and goals with their MySports subscription, from the very first game to the playoff finals. From the 2022/2023 season, the free TV playoff games can be watched on TV24, Léman Bleu and Teleticino. In addition, the "Match of the Week" is broadcast on these channels during the regular season every Sunday, and the highlights of all the games played throughout the day are broadcast after each game day. As a streaming partner, the Blick-Gruppe also broadcasts a live game every Tuesday; every goal and every highlight is available on Blick.ch. Further details and innovations will be announced before the start of the new season.
