Séché Environnement, an essential player in waste treatment
At the end of the 1980s, Joël Séché took over his family's construction
business. He used his determination and vision to reposition the company on the
environment sector. Over more than twenty years, Séché Environnement has
become one of France's biggest waste storage and treatment specialists, both for
industries and local authorities. By positioning itself downstream of waste
collection since it was founded, the Group has placed itself at the heart of the
most technical businesses on the waste market. Today, it operates in all areas
of waste management, from collection to treatment.
The ethics of an environmentally responsible industry
With a well-established local presence, the Group has always aimed to combine
technical performance with health and environmental preservation. The men and
women who comprise the Group use their expertise to fulfill this task.
In May 2008, Joël Séché was appointed executive chairman of Saur Group,
number three in the water and environmental services sector in France. Séché
Environnement has been a shareholder alongside the Caisse des Dépôts of Hime
(now FSI), the holding company that purchased Saur in April 2007.
